It's the most wonderful time of year!!
Words cannot express how much I love this time of the year! I love the sights, the smells, the music, the food, and the celebrations with family. Last night, Michael and I FINALLY put up our Christmas tree! We listened to Christmas music and ended with a celebratory glass of homemade eggnog! It was wonderful!
I still remember putting up the tree at my parents house growing up. Dad would have the old Christmas records playing....yes records. We would sing along to Nat King Cole,Alabama, and the Chipmunks!. The night always ended with cups of hot cocoa and Dad sneaking in his random polka record. ( Not sure why we even had it.) We would turn all the house lights off and dance "polka style" by the lights of tree.
This was one of my fondest memories with my family. I am so excited to begin our own Christmas traditions with Bailey. Be it eggnog or cider, the Chipmunks or polka; I cannot wait to share in her joy over the coming of Christ's birth!

we also put up the tree with the chipmunks album :) i'm not sure what traditions we'll start with mylin but we are trying to find a kid/bible version of the christmas story to start reading together as a family
